Day 1:
Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Visual Africa Travel representative will greet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha.
Spend the afternoon preparing your camera gear and meeting your guide, who will brief you on the upcoming safari. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha’s pleasant climate and lush scenery offer a gentle introduction to Tanzania before venturing into the wilderness.

Day 2:
Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and drive to Central Serengeti, the heart of the Great Migration. On arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive, photographing herds of wildebeest and zebras alongside resident wildlife.
Central Serengeti is renowned for its populations of Big Five species: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. The expansive plains and iconic Seronera kopjes provide ideal backdrops for capturing predator-prey interactions and dynamic wildlife behavior. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Serengeti National Park (North Mara)
After an early breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive in the northern Serengeti, including the Mara River region. This area becomes a wildlife haven from August to October, as herds migrate north in search of fresh grass. Photographers will have the chance to capture dramatic river crossings, lions hunting, and cheetahs in action.
While river crossings are unpredictable, the sheer abundance of wildlife guarantees incredible photographic moments. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:
Serengeti National Park (North Mara)
Spend the entire day at the Mara River, following the Great Migration herds. From August to October, river crossings often occur daily, creating thrilling photography opportunities. Herds may cross in different directions on the same day, offering unique compositions for wildlife enthusiasts.
Between drives, enjoy moments by your lodge capturing sunset landscapes over the Mara plains. Return to your camp for dinner, an evening bonfire, and overnight.

Day 5:
Serengeti to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive to capture last shots of wildlife in the golden light. Later, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable Serengeti Great Migration photographic safari.
