A warm welcome awaits you when you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A guide from Visual Africa Travel will meet you and take you to your lodge in Arusha. As you drive through the foothills of Mount Meru, you will notice the gentle rhythm of daily life coffee farms, small villages, and the distant silhouettes of volcanic peaks. Day 2:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide will take you west toward Tarangire National Park, a sanctuary known for its huge elephant herds and towering baobab trees. The drive itself is a chance to capture everyday African life Maasai herders in their red cloth, donkeys carrying water, and children waving as you pass by.
Before entering the park, you may visit cultural sites or local craft markets to experience Tanzania’s traditions. Once inside Tarangire, the landscape opens into wide plains dotted with giant baobabs that look almost prehistoric.
As you begin your game drive, the wildlife reveals itself slowly elephants marching across the riverbed, giraffes stretching toward acacia branches, zebras crossing in lines, and antelopes moving quietly through tall grass. Predators such as lions and cheetahs often rest under acacia shade, and with some luck, you may spot them watching the plains.
The warm glow of the late afternoon sun offers perfect light for photography, painting everything in gold. In the evening, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3:
Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, your journey continues north toward Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way, the road passes through Maasai lands, where cattle move slowly across open fields and women carry baskets on their heads with effortless grace. This region offers a beautiful mix of culture and scenery.
Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most unique parks. A narrow corridor of forest welcomes you, home to large families of baboons, blue monkeys, and playful bushbuck. Deeper inside, the landscape opens up to the shimmering soda lake, often covered with flamingos that create a soft pink line across the water.
The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, and although sightings vary, the chance of seeing a lion draped lazily over a branch is always exciting. Manyara also offers excellent birdwatching, with pelicans, storks, hornbills, and hundreds of colorful species filling the sky.
In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu, a charming highland town surrounded by farms and rolling hills. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4:
Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your journey takes you toward one of the most iconic wildlife destinations on the planet the Serengeti. The road climbs through the misty forests of the Ngorongoro Highlands, where tall fig trees and dense vegetation create a cool mountain atmosphere. As you pass the crater rim, the vast bowl of the Ngorongoro Crater opens before you in breathtaking panoramic views.
Descending the outer slopes, the landscape changes dramatically as the Serengeti plains stretch endlessly to the horizon. The sky feels wider here, and the sense of space is overwhelming.
You will arrive in the early afternoon and enjoy a picnic lunch before beginning your first Serengeti game drive. The light, the wind, the movement of wildlife everything in the Serengeti feels alive. Herds of wildebeest graze quietly, giraffes walk gracefully across the plains, and lions often rest on rocky kopjes warmed by the sun.
As dusk approaches, the colors deepen into warm oranges and purples the classic Serengeti sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge inside the park.

Day 5:
Full Day in Serengeti
This day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. After breakfast, your guide takes you into different corners of the park, following wildlife scenes as they unfold naturally across the plains.
For couples seeking an extraordinary moment, you may choose a sunrise hot-air balloon safari at extra cost. Floating quietly above the savannah while the sun rises is one of the most romantic experiences in Africa.
Throughout the day, you may encounter lions in the early morning light, cheetahs scanning the plains from termite mounds, elephants bathing near waterholes, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebras moving in patterns shaped by instinct and seasons. Hippos gather in muddy pools, while crocodiles lie still along riverbanks.
The Serengeti has inspired writers, filmmakers, and photographers for generations, and today you will understand why. After a beautiful day, return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6:
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will leave the Serengeti and travel back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, the landscape shifts once more from open grasslands to volcanic highlands.
A stop at Olduvai Gorge offers a fascinating look into the early history of humankind. This is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, where some of the earliest human ancestors were discovered.
You will then continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, a massive volcanic caldera often described as a “natural Eden.” The crater floor is home to an incredible density of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, gazelles, and more than 500 species of birds. It is also one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino.
Descending into the crater is like entering a different world, with soft morning fog lifting from the rim and rays of sunlight illuminating the grasslands. After a memorable day of exploration, return to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7:
Karatu to Arusha
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may stop at Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for cultural visits, including local markets, traditional craft shops, and small family-run farms. These visits offer a glimpse into everyday life in northern Tanzania.
Your guide will then take you to Arusha or directly to the airport for your departure flight. As your journey ends, you will carry home beautiful memories sunsets over the savannah, peaceful moments together, and the unforgettable wildlife of Tanzania.
